SENGU BOLD SOFA
By Patricia Urquiola
An incisive character that places its accent on comfort.
A bold font is a distinct type face that accentuates something noteworthy, highlighting the subject to emphasize its importance. Sengu Bold, Patricia Urquiola’s new interpretation of her latest Sengu Sofa system, is a ‘bold’ re-writing of the existing sofa where the original base disappears and its abundant curves reach all the way down to the floor.
By Patricia Urquiola
A collection of contemporary vases that preserves and reinterprets the Venetian legacy par excellence.
Patricia Urquiola explores traditional artisan Murano glass-workmanship techniques with the Sestiere vases for Cassina Details, the new collection of accessories introduced this year. Sestiere is a contemporary interpretation of the ancient mastery of glass art, typical of the island of Murano, Venice. The collection includes four vases crafted thanks to the specific production capacity of this small island and its artisans specialized in all types of glass production.
By Antonio Citterio
A first project designed by the Italian architect.
Antonio Citterio makes his debut for Cassina with a sofa system designed for the living area able to compose a fluid and flexible domestic landscape. Featuring the elegant and timeless design of its author, the Esosoft sofa has an aluminium exoskeleton that supports an organic-shaped shell that hosts a series of comfortable cushions. Esosoft pays tribute to the designs of the great masters and, specifically, to furniture design based on the separation of the structural part from the cushioned interior.
A New Chapter for the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret Collection
Cassina, committed to constantly examining the works of the great architects, expands the Hommage à Pierre Jeanneret collection with the Committee Chair, in agreement with the heirs of Pierre Jeanneret.
This new, comfortable small armchair combines the iconic inverted ‘V’ shape, leitmotif of this tribute-collection, with the highest quality wood and carpentry excellence.
By Rodolfo Dordoni
A table that extends to all dining areas.
Longplane by Rodolfo Dordoni is characterized by its graphic design and striking aesthetic balance, formed by crisp lines and precise proportions. The long, drawn-out shape of the table can be best appreciated when fully extended. A cornerstone for entertaining, Longplane adds a touch of refinement to any home and is open to numerous types of use.
Post Scriptum Vases
By Formafantasma – Cassina with Ginori 1735
The contemporary expression of design, black on white.
Cassina, in collaboration with Ginori 1735, introduces the first collection by Formafantasma: Post Scriptum, a unique collection of hand-painted porcelain objects. Starting with the extensive Manifattura Ginori archives, the creative duo selected some of the most archetypal shapes and gave them a contemporary interpretation to fully enhance the individuality expressed by the master painters of this Florentine-made brand.
