A bold font is a distinct type face that accentuates something noteworthy, highlighting the subject to emphasize its importance. Sengu Bold, Patricia Urquiola’s new interpretation of her latest Sengu Sofa system, is a ‘bold’ re-writing of the existing sofa where the original base disappears and its abundant curves reach all the way down to the floor.

Patricia Urquiola explores traditional artisan Murano glass-workmanship techniques with the Sestiere vases for Cassina Details, the new collection of accessories introduced this year. Sestiere is a contemporary interpretation of the ancient mastery of glass art, typical of the island of Murano, Venice. The collection includes four vases crafted thanks to the specific production capacity of this small island and its artisans specialized in all types of glass production.

Antonio Citterio makes his debut for Cassina with a sofa system designed for the living area able to compose a fluid and flexible domestic landscape. Featuring the elegant and timeless design of its author, the Esosoft sofa has an aluminium exoskeleton that supports an organic-shaped shell that hosts a series of comfortable cushions. Esosoft pays tribute to the designs of the great masters and, specifically, to furniture design based on the separation of the structural part from the cushioned interior.

Cassina, in collaboration with Ginori 1735, introduces the first collection by Formafantasma: Post Scriptum, a unique collection of hand-painted porcelain objects. Starting with the extensive Manifattura Ginori archives, the creative duo selected some of the most archetypal shapes and gave them a contemporary interpretation to fully enhance the individuality expressed by the master painters of this Florentine-made brand.
